Jorge Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I was looking on Ebay, but there are so many alternatives, I don't know what to do. I have a Strat with a H-S-H config (actually, it is a PRS EG, but anyway). The 2 and 4 positions sound clearly weaker in output that the 1,5, and even 3, so there are really not useable when playing live. So I guess I could get a switch such as those on a Les Paul, but designed for a Strat, with just the typical 3 positions: Neck, Bridge , and both humbuckers combined, like in a Les Paul or Hamer Custom, for example. Does anybody know of a good one I should choose, or even has one for sale?
alpep Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 i have a bunch of the 3 position tele switches that were used in the Hamer t 51 etc. if interested let me know. I think you percieve a vol loss because the 2 and 4 are usually wired out of phase.
kizanski Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Check here. They should have what you're looking for. I got a Mega Switch for my old Mirage and wired it PRS-style. Really made a tremendous difference.
