1972 Marshall Superbass FS

I'm sellling a 1972 Marshall Superbass in player grade condition. It's been unmodded from a three channel footswitchable 80's monstrosity back to the stock circuit. There are some extra holes on the back and one on the top from a removed extra preamp tube. Some of the pre-amp wiring and components were replaced as part returning the amp to stock. The feet have also been replaced. It's a Canadian amp and has a laydown power tansformer. It runs strong and loud. It's really damn near unsafe anywhere past 3 on the volume knob. It sounds great for guitar or bass. I'd be willing to pop a master volume in for anyone who'd prefer it that way. $1400 OBO shipped. Paypal OK.

Also forsale preferably local is a player grade 1978 Checkerboard 1960A cab. The speakers are 25 watt blackbacks with 75hz 1777 cones. One is a recone. I supect the cab was re-grilled at some point in the distant past. The cab sounds fantastic and is presently wired for 4 ohms. I'd be glad to switch it to 16 ohms if you prefer. $600 locally. If you want me to ship it I'll check the rate based on your location.

I've also got a JCM800 50 watt combo available. It's from 1982 iirc and is set up for EL-34s presently. I've got a pair of reissue greenbacks in it at the moment, but I'd be glad to re-install the original G12M-70s if you prefer. The greenbacks are a huge improvement. It's great sounding amp and really smokes when you hook it up to a 4x12, but will hold its own as a combo. $750 shipped obo.

Looks like 3 open/unplugged holes on the back from the mods, is that correct?

Four total. One is out of that picture.

gaw, I would certainly hope so. I hear those JCM800 combos are heating up as blues amps.

Just a quick note to say that cswilder is a stand-up guy to do business with.

Got a Kendrick from him last year on a trade. The amp was even better than his already comprehensive description.

Thanks, Neil! That Mindprint has been a workhorse for me in the studio as well.
