anotherfreak2 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Well, It did it, my DPM4+ finally croaked, and I need to get another keyboard, It's just for the studio, it doesn't have to be road worthy, but It does have to have killer strings and piano sounds. I use a lot of B3 and jazz orgen sounds as well, and vibes, it's gotta have kick ass vibe sounds!whatdayagot?seriously, I need to get a new keyboard, does anybody have something they used to Have to have that doesn't get used anymore?
tomteriffic Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Bill, I've got an E-mu Proteus MPS+, which is a Proteus with a 61 key keyboard lashed on. It's been in it's box since I moved to Buzzard Gulch. The piano and organ sounds that are there are very good, but there aren't necessarily a whole lot of them. There's a piano+strings layer patch that is the best I've heard for power ballads and Styx'n'Foreigner'n'Journey'n'Toto'n'stuff.I'd bet you could find an Alesis QS8 for not too much.I'll buzz you at the store tomorrow, assuming you're not snowed out. We are.

I have something.... but it's HUGE and heavy. everything's a penis joke to me!
