anotherfreak2 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 ..............2Tech Cruise IV fretted/fretless? Black/pearl guard Rosewood board Clean OHC Avtive Basslines controls are usual: vol/pan/stack eq bass/treb all factory/stock I have been trying to pry a fretless from Zilmo but I'm getting tired of waiting for him to get desperate, and I don't think he's gonna get "hard up" for some pocket change so, whatdoyougot?
quimby Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Freaky...I've been thinking seriously about posting the same in reverse. I have a fretless (lined) 2-tek cruise bass that I'd like to trade for a fretted cruise. I have some crude pics...but it's basically a black (with matching headstock). I have Rio Grande vintage J pickups with it, but I'll pass along the original pickups. I'm not sure that they are SD Basslines...but I'm not sure they are not SD Basslines.Feel free to e-mail me....mscobee(at)gmail.com. I'll try to dig up a pic.
anotherfreak2 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 Mine's a five string, as long as yours is a four string I'm go!you are more than welcome to keep the Rio's, and throw the Duncans in the case!
quimby Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Mine's a five string, as long as yours is a four string I'm go! you are more than welcome to keep the Rio's, and throw the Duncans in the case! Here's some pics: The strings are DR strings. I actually like the feel of them on this bass. When I bought the bass off e-bay the guy said it was stock...but the pickups don't have the usual SD bassline look (in particular they have pole pieces). To be honest I was never convinced that they were SD Basslines...so I ended up switching them out. I can take a pic and post it...maybe someone here will know. The case is an OHSC...but it's a little beat up (it was that way when I got it). I can take a pic of that as well. What a small world...just last night I thought again about posting that I'd like to trade this fretless for a cruise (preferably 5-string).
quimby Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Here's the case...it's a little beat up and it's missing the middle latch (apparently the previous owner used it as a skateboard ramp?). Here's the pickups. Like I said...they don't look like basslines to me...but I was told that they were "stock"...and I'm pretty sure the guy (not an HFCer) believed that. I'm curious...can anyone tell whether or not they really are Seymour Duncan basslines?

The pickups in mine are SD's not sure they are basslines.....nonetheless they sound great in my bass!.

They are stickers one says '1 N R' and the other says '1 B ' plus a written letter that is either a G or a greek letter phi? The seller was pretty sure the bass was stock...so they may be Seymour Duncan basslines? I was never able to convince myself either way. Quimby is good people.
