A number of them have had great chops, usually tons of speed but can't find time, dynamics or have any clue to what's going on other than what they are doing. Knowing how to play in a band is definately another aquired skill. The hardest thing in a cover band is playing those songs that you loath but work with the crowd.

Eric Weston Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Well......my current band does mostly 90's to current stuff and we've had some success with Santeria, Same in the End, Wrong way- Sublime (pretty much any Sublime) The Middle- Jimmy Eat World Guerilla Radio-RATM(or any other Rage tunes) My Own Worst Enemy- Lit Man in the Box- Alice in Chains (if the singer can nail the chorus...good luck ) Kryptonite- 3 Doors Down(AAARRGH!!) Drive- Incubus Figured you out- Nickelback We're gonna try out Crazy Bitch(Buck Cherry) and Remedy(Seether) next weekend , I expect that they will be good'uns, they get requested EVERY gig. It all depends where yer playing at.
