Zoner Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 My only gripe about Ebony stems from the same "dragging" that happens when it gets sticky. My guess is that some people slather oils on their Ebony boards when it is not needed as much/if at all. I know it can crack, but isn't Ebony too dense to absorb common fingerboard oils, leading to gooey build-up? Oh, and I dig a nice slab of Rosewood best meeself. Z
Armitage Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 It's more important to oil Ebony then rosewood. It cracks easily. And it has zero problem soaking up the oil.
