billhart22 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Here is the location: All about tubesPretty interesting stuff.....This comes from RUDUTCH's research on the Fender Forum....due credit is applied.Bill
seeker Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 That's a good source. Another one, from a slightly different angle is the NEETS (Navy Electricity and Electronics Training Series) which is designed to bring new, non-technical trainees into the geeky world. Rousing good read. Tubes are in Module 6, Introduction to Electronic Emission, Tubes, and Power Supplies.
Brewmaster Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Myles has been around for a long time. As I discovered a numer of years back when I first discovered his work, from Doug Preston of Dougs Tubes, the basic info is fine but when he starts talking about current manufacturing his point of view is jaded towards GT products for obvious reasons. It's still a pretty good reference.

Thanks! If you go to Naval Electronics Training the whole electronics package is there from atoms on up...Really interesting!
Dutchman Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I use this library often, and save the pdf's for future reference. Many many winter nights reading here. http://www.pmillett.com/tecnical_books_online.htm These are complete books and very large files. Enjoy

If you're willing to spend the time, this series is the best learning source if you have no clue about electronics. Even if you do, new areas (or ones you need refreshing) are much easier to understand.Dutchman, thanks for that link. What a treasure trove!
