MrGuitarguy Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Just got back from the Whiskey Falls show here in Cowtown. Damon Johnson (Brother Cane, Sammy Hagar, Slave to the System, Faith Hill) is playing guitar for these guys. The rest of the band are seasoned vets as well and all excellent players. Some of you know I'm a huge Brother Cane fan, so naturally I had to make it to the show since I actually had a night off from gigging and the studio for a change. The band is killer with incredible harmonies. I think these guys could be well on their way up the ladder. Damon played some killer guitar too. He was using a '57 reissue Strat and and ESP SG copy. He played through two V25 1x12 combos from "Samamp" which he told me is made by a friend of his in Alabama. It sounded killer!!!!! It had variable wattage and he had it running on 3 watts! Here's the link to their site: http://www.samamp.com/index.html I'm very interested in one of these now.Anyway, lovers of modern day country will dig the band. Check them out at:http://www.whiskeyfallsmusic.com/site.phphttp://www.myspace.com/whiskeyfalls (with audio clips)
tomteriffic Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Whiskey Falls, huh? I had quite a few of those back in my younger days.... Sounds like they're worth watching out for.

princeofdarkness56 Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Very good new type country band with some killer harmonies. Damon Johnson is a very good player who left the Alice Cooper camp to join this group. They will be playing at Alice's club in Phoneix in December.
