alantigold Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I was gonna start a thread w/this, but this seems like a good place to jump in. I've been reading great reviews of the Bad Cat Leash, and I've been thinking about something like that for a while anyway, but here's my question...I have two combo amps (Mark IV and a Budda). Do I need to get speaker cables for this or will regular instrument cables do? And can I get an extension for the built-in speaker cord to reach the attenuator (I'm thinking letting it hang from the cable is very bad!)?Alan

AlanAttenuators are treated like speaker cabs, so you need speaker cables. Especially true since the entire point of an attenuator is to pump your amp output at full wattage.
ArnieZ Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Bad Cat Leash requires an A/C power supply. I haven't heard one, but I imagine it's very good. Personally I have been very happy with my Airbrake.ArnieZ
RobB Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 The Leash has an a/c cord which powers the fan. It works great with both the Mojave and VAC amps. You can't go wrong with Weber attenuators, and the Trainwreck is a good one, also.I really like being able to get that cranked, plexi sound at a reasonable volume. Powertube overdrive rules.
