Keithman99 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Hello Hamerfans,I'm looking to buy back the guitar of my childhood, a butterscotch Hamer T-51 with a maple fretboard. If you have one that is in good to mint condition, shoot me an email. I'll pay good money, and have good feedback ratings on ebay if you want to check me out.Thank you!
Feynman Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 I would have pointed out the T51 on eBay that just popped up (that I am interested in, too), but I see you're already on that one...By the way, stick around - the HFC is a great place.Welcome!
Keithman99 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 How did you know "I'm on that one"?
Feynman Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 The seller replied to your question with "Hi keithman999..." I took a wild guess that it was you, or a very unlikely coincidence. ;-)
kizanski Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 The seller replied to your question with "Hi keithman999..." I took a wild guess that it was you, or a very unlikely coincidence. ;-)LOL! "Dick F**kin' Tracy!"
Keithman99 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 Wow, I can't believe that question got posted to the listing...
Feynman Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 And - BAM - it's over. He let me know he got an offer he couldn't refuse, so the listing is gone. You get it, Keithman? If so, please report back with pics and the like once you receive it. Im sure we'd all love to hear about it.But, if you didn't get it, and I didn't get it, then WHO?
Keithman99 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 I would normally feel guilty for something like this happening, but I've had and lost this guitar twice in my life.My first "real" guitar at 13 was a new butterscotch T-51. It got sold to pay for my first semester of college. I bought another, NOS butterscotch T-51 from Lightning Joe's Guitar Heaven in Arroyo Grande CA when I got a job while going to school. Lost job, sold the guitar to pay for the last semester of college. Now that I'm graduated, gainfully employed and finally driving a new car, I have no problem paying enough to get that auction ended early... Sorry!
Feynman Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 No heartburn here! Congrats - sounds like it was meant to be.We'll still need pics, though. :-)
