FS/FT - Vintage Epiphone Coronet, Gretsch Setzer Hot Rod, Tokai Jazz Sounds Bass

A couple of guitars and a bass that are not getting any use for various reasons. I've priced them all what I believe to be fair prices, but don't be afraid to make an offer. Would prefer to sell outright, but am willing to entertain trade offers. Not looking for anything in particular for trade, although I have been wanting to give a Fargen Mighty Plex a try (yeah, I know, big long shot).

First up is a 1964 Epiphone Coronet w/ wraparound bridge and a somewhat rare silver fox finish (silver grain filling with a dark green finish). All original as far as I can tell. Pots date to 64. Very good shape for a 44 year old guitar. Weighs somewhere in the 5-6 pound range. Some curling (no cracks) in the pickguard at the horns (fairly common with these guitars).Small well done repair on the back of the headstock that is very difficult to see with the naked eye. Original, flimsy case is included as well as a square, fender-like hard shell case for protection in shipping and transporting. I love the tone of this guitar (nothing like a P90 on a lightweight slab of old mahogany). However, the neck size is not to my liking. It's a thin neck, both in width and depth. If you like big necks, you need not apply. However, if you can deal with a smaller neck, this is a tone monster. $2,300 Shipped PRICE DROP - $2,100 SHIPPED

Next is a 2005 Gretsch Brian Setzer Hot Rod in Candy Apple Red. Very good condition, no bumps or bruises to speak of. Pickups have been upgrade to TV Jones Powertrons (I do not have the original classics). The pickup upgrade makes this more of a Rock machine (think Malcom Young) and the trestle bracing helps control the feedback. You can get a more rockabilly tone with it by scooping the mids, so it ends up being a pretty versatile guitar. I absolutely love this guitar, but since I was able to snag a 64 Silver Jet, it's been sitting unplayed. OHSC included. $1,500 shipped. PRICE DROP - $1,400 SHIPPED

Here's a stock pic, I will get more pics up this weekend:

Mid-80's Tokai Jazz Sounds bass with original precision upper pickup. I'm not sure of the exact year of manufacture, but I'm guessing mid 80's since it doesn't have the earlier spaghetti logo, but does have the correctly shaped matching headstock. The neck is a thinner Jazz Bass size neck. The pickguard is not original, it looks like someone took a jazz bass pickguard and routed the upper pickup opening to accommodate the P pickup. I'm also missing the pickup blender knob. Other than that, it's original and in good shape for a 20+ year old bass. Relatively new flatwound strings. If you know anything about the Japanese copies of the 70's and 80's then you know what a great bass this is. It's as good as any P or J bass I've ever heard and will hold up against any name brand bass of similar specs. Very versatile with the P & J pickups and the blender pot. Non-original HSC included. $500 Shipped PRICE DROP - $450 Shipped w/ HSC, $400 Shipped with no case.

I also have a Crate BT25 25W practice bass amp. In near mint condition. Bought new in 2007 and barely used. I have the original box, but not the manual. Clean and Distortion channels. Very nice sounding amp for practice. Includes aux in so you can play along with your CD or mp3 player (I'll include a cord for easy connectivity). The pic below is a stock pic. I can provide pics of the actual amp upon request. $100 Shipped.

Bump.

All of the auctions have a buy it now option. If you get into ebay through a live.com search, you should be eligible for a Microsoft Cash Back offer that will save you up to $250 on the Gretsch or the Epiphone. You may even be able to combine the cash back offer with the ebay 10% coupon that expires today (if you have one) to save another $100.

WISH I had the coin for that Epi-very cool. Unfortunately, I've got to pay the nanny, the roof guy, the kids' school, school tax, etc first!

Well, I'll still entertain trade offers for and end any of the auctions early as long as there are no bids.

That Epi is awesome. Underated tone monster.

Thanks, it certainly is.
