I did say it was my personal opinion.

I understood that part... some folks hold the opinion that the earth is still flat - they'd be wrong as well.

(no hard feelings because I'm poking a finger here, but seriously -- I really think the argument could be made that Cobain (and his ilk) actually saved rock n roll, and rock guitar.)

No problem. Don't get me wrong, I liked Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden etc., I just preferred the 80's more. I can't understand why Cobain was put on such a high pedestal, like he was king or something.

It seems like whenever somebody dies, they become this mysterious and mystical person. Their guitar work is God-like. What if Hendrix was alive, would he be like EVH? What about Duane Allman? Who knows?

Here's a big question, what if EVH died in 1985? He would have gone down as the greatest guitarist ever. There would have been statues made and streets named after him. Obviously he didn't die and is pretty much a washed up hasbeen. He hasn't done anything in 20 years!

I'm not trying to be morbid, I was just thinking. And BTW, I like EVH. He was a huge influence when I was growing up.

More palpable Black N Blue:

Pretty sure you mean "palatable," not "palpable." "Palpable" means "obvious," as in, "the pale complexion and varicose veins on Poe's ass are palpable."

Yeah, that's what I meant. That's first time I've ever been corrected for grammar on the internet!
