black magic Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Are these any good? Sounds? How does it compare to my beloved Boss MT-2? Thanks-Jack.
Scottcrud Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 it's better than your metalzone, it will make any amp sound like a Marshall, even Alpeps old Fender.
black magic Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 Thanks bro!! I am going to try to find a nice used one. Jack.
Scottcrud Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I know you like the Metalzone, but the Jackhammer will be more tube sounding if that makes any sense.
black magic Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 OK bro, I will try one out. I sure am curious about them. I like the high gain recto sound I can get out of my MT-2, so the british marshal gain would be a nice opposite. Jack.
kurtsstuff Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I don't use distortion pedal but if I had to...I'd find me an original Marshall Guv'nor...those little pedals kick ass.....find one and you'll be mucho happy!!
Craig S Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I would agree with Kurtstuff on this. I had a Jackhammer for awhile and it finally wore out it's welcome, not bad mind you but the old Guv'nor would probably be a better choice. I found the distortion side of the Jackhammer to be unusable, the O.d side was pretty good. I like my Keeley DS-1 Ultra better.
