1995 Hamer USA Sunburst Archtop - SOLD

This is the best humbucking guitar I've ever owned. Handmade in the USA at the old Hamer shop in Arlington Heights, IL.

Solid mahogany body capped with a hand-carved arched flamed maple top and finished in a gorgeous traditional sunburst. Hamer's Lubritrak nut, Schaller tuners and a rosewood fingerboard over a comfy medium thickness neck. Unlike most of these guitars, this model is outfitted with the Wilkinson Hardtail Wraparound bridge which delivers superior tone and sustain. Everything on the guitar is original with the exception of the pickups which have been upgraded to covered Lollar Imperials. The original Seymour Duncan uncovered JB/'59 pickups are included.

Condition is very good. There's a fair amount of light bucklewear and pick scratches on the back and front, respectively, along with a few small dings on the headstock (see photo). Otherwise, the electronics are perfect, it feels and plays great, the neck is nice and straight, it holds tune extremely well and delivers the kind of excellent tone and playability for which Hamers are known.

I am the original owner, having purchased the guitar new from Make 'n Music back in 1997.

$OLD includes OHSC.

No trades. Price is firm. Cash or Paypal only. Prefer local Chicago area sale, but will ship to CONUS. Buyer pays actual shipping.

Great guitar! I think these Studios have some of the best tops Hamer ever produced. Wraptail, bellycut and good upper fret access - what's not to like.

I don't understand what you mean by "repair sign".

As stated in the original post, I am the only person who's ever owned this guitar. It has never been "painted over" and has never needed to be repaired for any reason. I took the photo of the headstock as close as I could get without losing focus.

I've done many successful deals with HFC and TGP members and never had any complaints.

well, on the side of the headstock, lower to the top chip there is a dip, but I can't see the wood, thats why I say that... Is that just a reflection/optical illusion?

I *think* you're talking about the narrow indentation on the side of the headstock. It's simply a ding that didn't go through the finish unlike the ding on the top of the headstock.
