The neck has the satin finish. The electronics are USA-made. I've upgraded to a Gotoh 201 bridge and Schaller Strap-Locks. Comes with Fender's deluxe gig bag. This bass could pass for new at a Guitar Center. I rarely ever played it. Looking for $390 shipped in the CONUS. These sell for $809 at Musician's Friend.
