andrewz Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I know it's a long shot, but maybe somebody has a set of 1962 Fender tuning keys and/or a 1962 fender neckplate laying around for my 1962 Jazzmaster restoration.. ? I've had a 1962 Jazzmaster with a replacement neck for about six months, and I just found a 1962 slab neck to go with it.. It doesn't have tuning keys or a neck plate though.. Thanks! (here it is with the newer neck)
cmatthes Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 That looks a lot like my '64 does (for now, anyway!). Mine is a LOT rougher looking, but is hopefully going to get that special Stike treatment in the very near future. Although I don't have the parts you're looking for, I did have a replacement plate with the correct serial number made at a very reasonable cost and with the right number-type for mine. It was even lightly relic'ed and looks great with mine. If you want to email/PM me, I can get you the details. Not a real one, but for well under $50 shipped, it might work until you DO find one!
serial Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I had a box of old 60's JM and Jag parts and started getting rid of stuff last year. Had an L plate, but that's gone. Split shaft tuners which wouldve worked for you, but I got a ton for em on fleabay.Cool JM-love my '65.
