JohnnyThunders Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Off to Denver for a Software Development Conference and wanted to check out some guitar stores. So far I have Wildwood and Drum City Guitar land any others especially Hamer shops? Also any cool clubs downtwon Denver/Colorado Springs or close outskirts?
Jeroen Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Bought my Hamer Special FM from "Axe Haven" in Pueblo, CO. Don't know if they still carry Hamers, but back in 96 they had about 10 Hamers in stock.Jeroen
bamboohead Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 The only Hamers in the Springs are at Fall River Music at 5170 N. Academy Blvd. There aren't really any other "cool" guitar stores in this podunk town. Sorry.Peace,Love and guitarstrings!
SteveB Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 not really any Hamer shops in Denver. Besides what you've marked down, hit Guitar-X on broadway. Lots of Boooteek stuff there.
rmahurin Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Here in Denver right now. Guitar Center right across from the hotel; They sell booteek right??? http://www.grandprixofdenver.com
Guest Scott_F Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Probably a little late, but Wildwood Guitars is an awesome guitar shop. They're just north of downtown in a suburb of Denver. They used to be one of the best and largest Les Paul dealers until the guy that runs Gibson had a brain cramp and killled off all his small dealers. What happened then? Well, the guys at Hamer stepped in and signed up a bunch of those former Gibson mom and pop shops.A few of them commissioned Hamer to build some really nice axes with larger necks on them. You can only get them at Music Machine in Washington state, Wildwoods in Colorado or Dave's guitar in Wisconsin.I've bought Les Pauls from Wildwood and Daves and can highly recommend both of them.http://www.wildwoodguitars.com/electrics/h...hamer_home.html
billhart22 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Allegro sells Hamers.............but don't get all excited..........they don't even have any in stock other than imports.........Guitar Center is a botique..........I wish that I knew where to send you, but I absolutely don't.....As a matter of fact, I am thinking of sending my STD to Greg to have some work done...I don't trust anyone here in Denver, but then again, I could be ignorant..Bill
bamboohead Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 You are right Bill, I am in the Springs and there is nobody that can even come close to Greg. At least that's what I have heard. He has my 81 Vector right now.
