I was at the local music shop the other day and they had one on sale for $800 bucks. At first I thought it looked a little weird but when I picked it up it sounded better acoustically than anything else I tried in the store incl high end Strats and SG's

I'd look for one personally but I'm not buying any more guitars ...

For me, the thing I am drawn to about the ASS is the neck profile. On paper, The JP6 sounds like a guitar that is more my style, but after trying out as many MM guitars as I could, I have been repeatedly drawn to the feel of the neck on the Axis. It's thick and has an assymetrical carve that feels really great. It is a wee bit narrow, but even with that I seem to just really love the overall shape and feel of it.

I like most of the MM line really, and I'd never have thought by reading the specs that the Axis would make the cut, but so far it's my favorite of the bunch.

I gotta tell you though, the EB forums sure aren't the HFC!
