gahboo Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I just bought an '81 Special. It has a really skinny neck that I am not warming up to very well. I am used to the fat neck on my 1999 Vanguard P90. I would like to trade, or trade + cash for something with HBs that feels like the Vanguard's fat neck. Not too picky about what the guitar is, but HB pickups and the fat neck are pretty important. My Special is solid red and has quite a lot of mojo (dings, ect.) It was a road warrior. That appeals to some folks (like me). I doubt you will want to trade your Monaco for it, but hey I would consider such an offer Interested in ideas or offers. I have lusted many times on this very site! I think part of the reason I didn't do it initially is because I am kind of torn about trading. You know how it is when you regret giving one up that you "thought" you didn't like? I have done it before. I spent some quality time with it last night, and I dislike it a lot less. I think I am going to give it a bit more of a chance, because it was a good deal, it looks cool, and well, its an old Hamer... which is worth the price I paid just to own one...
