bubs_42 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 So, I wanted a 50 JMP MV and I couldn't talk myself into putting out the coin for one with out hearing it. So I found one Locally and was compairing it to other amps in the store when I paired it up with the Mesa Ace. The Ace had the same vibe but with so much more verisatility it was an easy choice. The Ace is a 50watt EL34 amp with three modes on each channel. The Overdrive Channel is set up with three modes. First is vertually what you would hear if you play and unmoddified JMP. Little Dirty, Bold, Round Tone. The Second is what you would here if you added a gain stage. Same amp just a little more( This is what I use). Still cleans up when you back it of and sound awsome. Third is more gain than you can possible use, Pure Recto Gain, over the top, beefy, and destructive. As for the Clean, the first mode is a JMP on the LO Setting. Clean, Marshall with just a hint of dirt when pushed. Second mode is makes it more up front, it just opens the channel up. It's probly based on a mod of some sort down to the JMP. Sounds great and this is the channel that I use. The third is the Clean Channel driven. Its classic like a Vintage Boogie. Both Channels are Master Volume but the best option is the sponge settin on the ON/OFF/SPONGY. Alot of players crank the Old JMPs and use and Antenuator just a little. They don't crank it way down they just use it to just knock it down a little without strangling the amp or the tone. That is what this switch does and its works perfect. This is how I use the amp. It will do Large Venues but you can play it in the bedroom as well. Great all around amp but definetly Mesa and Marshall. I'm selling because I'm just cutting back to one amp and since i'm not playing out i am going to keep my Crate VFX and enjoy it. So here is the down and dirty. The amp is the Green it comes with the Mesa Cover, the owners manual and the packet that came with the amp also the FootSwitch and Cable. It virtually everthing but the original box. The Amp has low hours on the Tubes and they have been upgraded Mesa Branded from the Cheaper Originals. Lets make this easier $900 Shipped and Paypal in the Cont US. I'll ship to Canada, HI, AK for a little more. This amp will do it most anything but Fender Crystal Cleans. Amp is also not the Mesa 300lbs amp. It doesn't way much more than a JMP which is pretty lite. Its like new no dents, dings, scratchs, EVERTHING WORKS!

Just wanted to add that on the Boogie Board I've heard complaints about to much high end. NOT THE CASE WITH THIS ONE! After the tube swap its sounds awsome.
