Volume mod on my Studio?

I have a 93 Studio with the typical two volume & one tone setup.

I would like to wire it with only one volume knob (the front one) to control both PUs.

Is it as easy as just unsoldering the bridge PU and connecting it to the neck PU volume pot?

What you're proposing won't work. In the standard three-knob setup, the pickup switch is after the volume pots. So, you'll need to run the hot leads of the pickups to the switch first, and then the "output" of the switch to the first volume pot. IIRC, the tone control is after the switch in the original scheme, so that would have to be wired in after the volume pot as well.
