Have this problem on a guitar I just got, but also seems to be a recurring issue with a couple other guiters.
Striking the low E (biggest) string when not fretted is fine, as well as above the 12th fret. However, from 1st to about 12th I get this buzzing 1/4 to 1/2 second after the I pick it. Almost like a sympathetic thing.
Bridge is TOM, and and string from bridge down to tailpiece is -not- touching the edge of the bridge (wedged a piece of paper between the string and bridge edge). Suppose it could be the nut, but when only from frets 1 to 12?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
