Universal Remote Control recommendation?

I am in the market for a new universal remote control. I have about 6-7 components I need to control.

I have owned two Home Theater Master MX-500 remotes. While I do like this URC, I had to replace the first one because the back light got so dim I could never see the LCD screen or the buttons in the dark. Now the second unit I bought is doing the same thing! So - I don't want to buy another Home Theater Master.

My DirecTV DVR (HR22-100) has RF capabilities so I would like to get an RF remote.

There are a lot of remotes out there. I am most curious to hear about anyone's real world experience. Thanks.

The Logitech Harmony One is excellent. Easy to set up, works well and consistantly and has a very intuitively laid out handset. I liked mine so much I bought a second one. One of my favorite electronic devices.

Thanks.

Do you know if it has RF?

Are you using it with DirecTV by any chance?

Ken, I do use it for DirecTV, and, as Lockbody says, you'd need to upgrade from the One for RF. The only RF component I have is a PS3 so I didn't bother.

I recently upgraded to DTV's "whole house" DVR system which works perfectly.

Whoa. I didn't even know this existed! Thanks for the heads up.

I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to DirecTV - I have only been a subscriber since 1994.
