Never tried one - and I'm not a slide player for that matter - but at first glance I don't see what's silly. I'd much sooner use a slide that didn't turn my third finger into a lead sinker.

i have one laying around here somewhere. i really suck at slide playing and tried this product at the request of a singer-songwriter i was working with years ago. couldn't make it sound right but it was probably me. cool idea, imho as you can fling it around and play normally pretty easily. if i find it do you want me to send it to you? i don't need it. iirc, when i bought it from the maker, he was kind of "funny" on the phone. he tried to get me to buy 6-7 of them and different styles and metals. he was pushy and "odd". anyway i'll look for it tonight.

As a once in a while slide player, that wouls work for me. It's too much of a pain to grab a slide and put it on/off during a song. This one looks like it's well thought out unlike some others I've seen.

Teefus, I'm sorry but I think you're stretching the truth a little there. I never tried to sell you six or seven of them. I wouldn't do that. If I remember correct you were the one that said you wanted two of them in different sizes and in both metals. I thought that was kind of Funny.

as i replied in the Pm you sent me too, i am not the person you mentioned. and yes, you kept trying to talk me into multiple slides for some reason. i was just wanting one to try out. it was a very odd conversation and transaction.

looks interesting.... I use a heavy glass bottle slide 99% of the time... but this might be cool... depending on the weight....

Sounds like a cool concept. I'll have to check it out - I had my assortment of slides out over the weekend, the one that has worked best for me is one I bought 20 years ago - it's a bit small, so I've always "palmed" it - this might be a solution...
