saxmanjack Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Love Hamers, but something about the neck/fretboard shape is causing pain in my wrist. Tried a new PRS Swamp Ash Special at a music store, and found the neck/fretbard VERY comfortable. Anyone have one they care to part with, or know of one available? Feel free to post any positive or negative comments about these...Thanks,Jack saxmanjack@att.net
DaxT1138 Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 what year and model of Hamer are you referring to? you probably already know that Hamer has had a TON of neck shapes and sizes over the years, there has to be one to fit you. maybe try smaller (late 80's to about mid 90s) those swamp ashes are cool though. if i was to get a PRS, it would be one of those.
DavidE Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 The SAS is a great guitar. I love the McCarty pickups and themiddle pickup adds a whole additional dimension. Get the trem! Best I've tried.
cmatthes Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 David E.:Agreed about the trem. My hands-down favorite of ANY unit made.
licksville Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 This one is making me moist. Wouldn't mind seeing someone here pick it up.EBAY Swamp Ash
