Bad Horsie Wah Question

Got my Bad Horsie today. My first reaction is positive. I think not having to hit (or miss) a switch will be awesome.

Didn't notice much tone suck.

But I found a weird thing with it. When going to the toe down position (full treble), it doesn't quite go all the way to full treble unless I'm not pushing down in the middle of the pedal. Lift the back of my foot and it goes to full treble sound.

Put another way, I can push the toe all the way down, but unless I take some weight off the pivot point, it doesn't get to the full treble position. Is this normal?

It's going to take some getting used to, but not much.

No. it should be doing that.. I had one while back and used it for a about 3 years with no problems. mine never did what your is doing.. I think i would take it back and grab another if possible..

It shouldn't be doing that at all David. Sounds like maybe there's a little problem with the tension on the tredle.. I'd see if I can swap it for another, but I've never had any problems of any sort with mine.

Open it up. There is an adjustment screw in there. See if that makes a difference. I forget what it does, but it has something to do with the sweep. Maybe you can view the manual at the morely website.

Or e-mail them for support. I hear they're pretty good about that.

I knew you'd like the switchless feature. How's the tone workin' for ya?

Tone seems fine. Maybe even quite good. I'll give it a test run at the show tonight.

I can't use them, because I use my wah as a tone control sometimes. You can leave a regular wah on at a midpoint, but a foot pressure wah like a BH turns off when you lift.

They SOUND good, tho.

I use a Bad Horsie II. It does not react as you've stated in the first post. It works quite well. I really do like the 'instant on/off' feature.

If you just received it, send it back BEFORE opening it up to tweak it, and ask for another unit.
