I was changing the bridge pup in a non-Hamer (GMP Pawnshop to be precise) and had probs fitting in the new one, so had to wait a week to finish it. A week without strings. Finished install, put strings on and did a rough tune. Let it sit for a day to settle in before trying any adjustments.
Can't seem to get the guitar setup back right. It's buzzing out on the fretboard. Raised the bridge higher than it was to accomodate. Finally did breakdown to do truss rod adjustment (1/4 to 1/3 turn total) to get the frets leveled, which did help.
However, 1) would like to get it bridge/truss back to where they were before and 2) big E is still buzzing a bit, esp when fretted. Some chords still seem to have a slight sizzle, and overall, have a muted vs ringing character.
Strings are same size, but did use different string brand. Never been a problem before, for me.

Do I need to -over- tune to get it back?
