SteveB Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Good deal. My wife and I are already sending a good chunk of change to both the Red Cross and Salvation Army. Everybody needs to step up to the plate and give for this relief effort, it's going to be huge.
tomteriffic Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Good idea. I sent the Red Cross a goodly chunk of change yesterday, and my wife kicked in at our little, dippy Single-A team ballgame last night. That was amazing. There were maybe 4,000 people in actual attendance and they raised over 5 grand at one game.
doody Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I was talking to the local blood bank at work tuesday night and there is a huge shortage of blood right now. Every blood bank in the country is sending what they can to the support/relief effort. Donate blood. Well donate money too:)
Scarabaeus Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Everybody needs to step up to the plate and give for this relief effort ... I think all the grossly overpaid actors, actresses, pop stars, and athletes, as well as businesses who make/have yotta-billions of $ should step up first instead of tapping into the average joe for help. We have a hard enough time supporting our own families given everything that is going on in our economy today.

I think you'll find that alot of those people will in fact be giving quite a bit of money to the effort. If you can't afford money, then give blood. Thats in short supply and a "rich" person can't give any more than an "average joe".
