Vector Strap button and pickguard questions

Where exactly does the back strap button go on a Vector? I would guess centered right below the neck joint? (but how far down from the joint?) I hate to place it incorrectly as I can't find a spot where the button was before the refin.

Any particular brand of strap button to stay authentic?

Also, where can I get a Vector KK pickguard? New or used.

Thanks!

Center placement on the body just below the neck joint. I'll see if I have a pic of my old Vector back, but I'm sure somebody here has one. As far as the pickguard, I'm still not sure yours had a KK pickguard since it isn't a KK model, but that seems like a possibility. I'd have to check a pic of the top/neck joint and face to try to figure that out.

I just noticed my hosting service expired, so I guess you can't see the pics.

Should be fixed soon.

In the mean time, if you get a chance to measure how far (1/2 inch?) from the neck joint should the button be?

I'll add a fretboard side pic of the neck joint as soon as I can host pics again.

There are obvious filled screw holes on each side of the pickup, just outside the pickup ring, but no other obviously filled screw holes I can see.I assumed they were from a pickguard, but since there are no filled holes anywhere Else, I guess I hae doubts still too.

Thanks!

Can you see the Tenon, neck/body joint, in the top? If not it might not have originnaly had one. Since that seems to be a custom order anything is possible with Hamer. Hiding that joint would be an interesting feature.

Anyone have a KK Vector shot to show our friend here what they look like?

I am assuming you meant seeing the neck tenon from the front, right?

Thanks for the feedback so far (I have cleaned it up and restrung it since these photos - damn this thing plays nice - I ditched a gibson LP studio to get this and it plays soo much better than my Gibby Explorer - shame, the explorer is purty).

Here are the pictures I have.
