Stone chips on my truck

I've got an 08 Nissan Frontier that has a few stone chips on the hood and one minor scratch on the rear door.

I like the truck and want it to last so I decided to get the chips filled in.

So i go to the local guy who advertises paint less dent removal and stone chip repair.

He automatically starts talking about stripping the hood and door area where the chips are. Re-painting them and oh by the way the paint wont match cause the trucks white.

$450.00 to repair 6 stone chips and a 1/2 inch scratch.

I know I can go to the dealer and buy some paint with that little nail polish brush and do it, but the truck will look like it has warts.

Any products or suggestions on how to get a decent job. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just don't want little rust spots coming through in a couple years.

I've used this. Works better than the brush on touch up paint or color pens. A little tricky to apply until you get the hang of it.

Thanks Dave

I recall seeing an commercial about that several years ago. Forgot all about it.

I'll give it a try.

I've seen this stuff and wondered if it would work on guitar dings?

I'm guessing it would have to be paint that is not clear coated and just the base color...but would this work?
