Cutting a pickguard

I need to make a small hole big on my import PRS. It's currently got 3 singles and I want to put a humbucker in the bridge (the body is factory routed already).

Without hacking it up too bad, what's the best way to go about this (I have power tools at my disposal)?

I have a scroll saw you can use, and then we trim, clean it up with the dremel.

I have a metal humbucker mounting ring that I use as a makeshift routing template. I tape it in place and use a Dremel at low speed to cut out everything inside the ring. Then a little sandpaper to smooth the edges.
