Victor (Fret Friend) Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Does anyone know the correct size of the allen screws that fix each individual saddle in place (for intonation). I think they are M2.5 (2.5mm) x 6mm (or more). I need to grab a few for projects...
Victor (Fret Friend) Posted June 10, 2011 Author Posted June 10, 2011 Does anyone know the size? From what I've read, it's saying M3 (3mm) x 'whatever length' but this is wrong. Mine measure 2.5mm full width of thread...

I don't remember the specification for the screws, but I bought a bag or two a couple years back that fit the schaller (hamer) floyd baseplates. here is a scan of the label on the package: I got these from mcmaster-carr (www.mcmaster.com) but it's been so long I don't have the invoice and the past orders don't go back far enough (you can try a search on my name up here 'cause I posted it before - it's a pisser getting old and forgetful lol). if you need a dozen or two, send me a PM or a email to [email protected] and I can drop an envelope in the post to you (freebie). Update: I looked up my old post and I believe this is the right part: http://www.mcmaster.com/#91290a113/=coyjqq my original post here: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...ost&p=82425 the offer for the freebies still stands - at least this is the part spec if you have a local supplier. best wishes, stonge

Todd (aka yeah I've got a few floyd rose guitars....) Thanks for your reply dude & yeah, I'm sure my saddle threads are 2.5mm so I'll buy them. It's the saddle bolts I need, not the allen wrenches (I got plenny o'them). Cheers Does anyone know the correct size of the allen screws that fix each individual saddle in place (for intonation). I'm gonna go with 2.5mm thread on the saddle bolts but I'll check with a local matalshop I know first. Most places keep telling me it's a 3mm thread but I know it's 2.5 but I'll check anyway
