Does anyone know if a standard Jazz bass pickguard will properly fit the body of a 90's Cruisebass?

I can check when I get back home tomorrow, but I don't think they line up.

Okay - it does NOT fit.

Several reasons:

1. The Cruisebass heel is squared off, not curved/rounded like a Jazz Bass. - the pocket is different and the J-Bass pickguard leaves a gap and doesn't fit properly

2. The pickup placement is different - close to an inch off between the two basses.

3. The knob placement on the Cruise gets in the way of the J-Bass guard - it won't fit in there.

It's totally off. I even tried a spare Cruisebass pickguard on my Jazz Bass - no dice either way!
