HD 400 vs HD500

I have used Line6 stuff for many years, but really hated my X3 Live (fizz and the plastic case).

I would like some insight on what are the big differences between HD 400 and HD 500. The 500 seems to have a bunch of extra buttons which might not help a hack like me.

If it helps I also like the simplicity and sturdiness of my XT Live which I still have.

400:

-FX are corralled into "blocks", up to 4 blocks at the same time, can only have 1 effect per block at a time (and annoyingly, they lumped spring reverb, OD/dirt and filter FX all into Block 1!)

500:

-dual amp tones

-up to 8 FX at the same time, no block limitations

-FX in any order

-parallel signal chains

-duplicate FX at the same time (e.g. stack 2 ODs, 2 mods, etc.)

-lots more I/O jacks

Many thanks. Nothing beats user input gotten here. Blocks sound annoying enough to justify the extra hundred.
