Amplitube 2 for iPhone

Daughter and I are planning purchasing a couple of iPhone 5's this fall. I was pretty excited, then I saw

.

So, let me get this straight... I walk into church on Wednesday night with my guitar, my phone and a couple of cables. I plug my guitar into my phone (with the iRig adapter), the adapter into the PA, tune with my phone, pick my presets and play?

Anyone using this for iPhone / Pad now? How good is it? Sounds fine on YouTube. I'm not looking for cork-sniffer nirvana, here. A good set of basic sounds will do just fine.

I've had it a while. Sounds pretty good. The clean amps are much quieter than the over driven amps but other than dealing with that volume difference it works pretty well. Ik also makes a iphone mount that attaches to a mic stand for easier access playing life. The wah is fun because you can control it by moving the iphone. Someone needs to make a footpedal to put the iphone in to control the wah.

It has a built in 1 track recorder and you can add 3 more tracks. There are some funky settings when using it that you have to keep straight. You can make it where you can't hear your self playing through it. Can be frustrating when you start using the recorder.

The irig is made pretty well and can even work with some macbook's for a guitar input. A bit noisy on the computer.

Just remember to put the phone in airplane mode while you're onstage, don't need to have the phone start ringing or a text message pop up in the middle of a performance!
