mrhappy Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I rely on the side position dots for my whereabouts on the neck, however on this 77 Sunburst the dots aren't very bright and in lower light situations I can't see em' for shit! Have been playing a lot of "jazz" a 1/2 step away from where I wanna be!LOL Anyone have an idea of how to make em more visible?? (No L.E.D.s ! ) Thanks
eightyfour Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Use some white-out. Won't harm the finish and it's non-permanent.
kenjones Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 My Rickenbacker 330 is the same way. I'd play it out more if I could see the position markers better.
acb Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Can any seasoned HFCers report how the position markers are made on the fretboard - bound and unbound - is this an inking proceedure or are the markers engraved? Virtually all of the position markers on my 77Burst have been worn off over the years. Any tricks to the fix?
kurtsstuff Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Just wear a miners safety helmet...you...the ones with the little lights on the brim??...hehe
mrhappy Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 Thanks eightyfour... I'll give white-out a try. Any other "bright" ideas out there?? Kurtsstuff... I'll probably need a safety helmet if I don't stop playin' those clams!
