Bobby Marshall Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Well, another post reminded me I have a Pioneer six disc CD player from my teens that doesn't work anymore.Could it be fixed? who? where?
Toadroller Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I have the good fortune of a stereo repair guy with a small shop close bye. I recently walked in with a mixed stack of 80s stereo equipment- some cd players, a receiver or two, a record player. "These are for you if you'll fix my 2 CD players.""Sure!"2 fixed CD players later... I'm happy.
JohnnyB Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on what's wrong and parts availability to fix whatever that is. Many things can be fixed. If the laser assembly is toast and there are no spare parts, it's a boat anchor.
Bobby Marshall Posted February 10, 2012 Author Posted February 10, 2012 Guess I need to start searching around the hood. Thanks for the replies.
backinit Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I have an older pioneer cd changer that handled 3 magazines.....just died recently...
Bobby Marshall Posted February 10, 2012 Author Posted February 10, 2012 I feel sick. Guess I have a paper weight.Maybe I can still use the receiver amp for vocals at home. Thanks for replies.
