kjq Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Thanks for all of the interest. I am sure the buyer will post when he receives the guitar.Sir D - at this point I am not replacing it with anything. I would have considered a Newport or Monoco, but for now I will lay still. My guitar building is taking off, so who knows what will happen. Robben played my black limba artist style guitar @ Yoshi's last month. He played it about 20 minutes at the sound check and really dug it. Jude Gold from guitar player played it as well and wanted to do a spotlight on me - just not ready to hit the real world with this venture yet. Thanks again - Ken / West Cosat Hamer Fan
Guest hectorp2 Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 If I had the dough, I'd snap it up.That's my favorite Hamer color.
Submariner85 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 That is nice. I really like the sterling silver trim and covers. Unfortunately, the Navy doesn't pay me enough to be able to afford that right now.
Guest pirateflynn Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 How would you describe the neck carve? Ebony fingerboard? Ken
kjq Posted October 2, 2005 Author Posted October 2, 2005 The neck carve on the LTD aniversary models are nice and chunky. I would say not quite 59 style. I have a 97 artist custom with seth's, and the ebony board seem to just give the guitar a hair more attack without sacrificing the warmth and breathing ability that the rosewood board guitar has. I had the # 6 Limited that I sold to Bruce and these guitars came with a Pearly Gates and Custom Custom? I dont remember the bridge pickup, but anyway I did not care for the pickup combo in that guitar - great player - pickups did not work for me. I did not want to change them out. When Kim said he would do this guitar with Seth's and Salmon blush - I was in.Ken - West Coast Hamer Fan
