Ranger Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Gotta sweet old microphone but the cord is worn thru at a spot. Can it be fixxed? How?It looks like standard coax but I don't know.
murkat Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 yes.new chord, solder iron, etc.should be coax.
Turdus Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 What kind of mic? Bullet style with attached cable? 1/4" plug? XLR? If it works, but just has a worn spot, I think I'd tape it with electrical tape.
tomteriffic Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 If it's possible to undo the connector at one end, a little electrical tape followed by sliding some heat-shrink tubing over the worn spot will give you a more durable repair.
