Double output (for each PU) configuration for a 1980 Sunburst

Question

Hello,

I am checking a model within Switzerland and the model is presented as a double jack output (each for each pickup) with apparently a pot to switch slightly from one to the other...

Have you heard about it ?

Stock sunburst with Bill Lawrence Pickup ?

Thanks for the info if any, have a nice week Gilles

Oh no...she is from 1980 (Model 0 1630) but is the same principle. and I guess with one pot for balancing the sound from one PU to the other one (and middle for both).

I am just asking if this could have been done at this time or this has been done afterwards (having in mind what has been done for the DuoTone).

The model is quite strange but I guess many modified models are on the market. Thanks for the check.

Have a look in the control cavity.

If it was done at the Hamer factory it should look tidy inside around the area of the second jack and will have whatever finish the guitar has on top of the second hole as the finish would have been applied after the body was all routed and prepared.

Edited to add: Pictures will help us to help you.

I took a look and i very much doubt that the guitar was originally delivered with those pickups so chances are the extra output is a later addition. As Rich mentioned, see if the seller will take a good quality picture of inside the cavity, this should help to confirm but at the end of the day a starting price of 600 Ch franc would make it worth keeping an eye on no matter what.

We are "almost" (not that far) within the 350 USD limit...Should remain at least with someone caring :)

Perhaps this modification will put potential buyer's off, i haven't brought a guitar for probably 10 years but this may be the time to attack the credit card even further.

A link might be good, promise not to bid as I'm already committed elsewhere....

Well in the opening post he said where it was and where's the first place nowadays that you look for a guitar - think what the letters are on their number plates and it should take you about 5 seconds to arrive at it.

Gone...with a small regret...maybe still in the HFC Group...but too much work and I prefer to consolidate on Artist..from now on.
