jujisque Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I'm putting my highschool guitar up on the chopping block for sale. I am the original owner. It's a Epi Les Paul that is marked as a limited edition. I believe that the finish is what was limited edition. It's also marked as a "2nd", ironically, because of a finish flaw on the neck heel (you'd never notice). I believe that it was made in 2001. Definitely the best sounding Epi paul that I've ever played. It is a two-piece body, has a straight neck, good frets (lot o' life left), and good sounding electronics. I remember that the pickups had "Gibson USA" stickers on them, but I'm not going to put much weight on that. I don't know if the pickups are Epi or Gibson. Even with the stickers, I've always assumed they were Epi made. The top is a veneer, but for a veneer looks quite striking. It is finished in a very handsome blueburst. The first picture makes the finish look lighter than it really is. The next two pictures are more accurate. The last picture is me proving that jazz can be played on a solidbody . It is full size, it just looks small because I'm 6 foot 3. It does have two issues: 1) the nut was never good to begin with, but when changing the strings once, a piece of it came off. It was just a little piece and it still works, but should be replaced if only for the fact that it's not a very good nut. 2) The switch tip snapped when I got too enthusiastic doing a pickup switch once. It still works, but harder to switch on the fly. I'm asking for $300 plus shipping, but I am certainly going to encourage other offers if you have a better idea. There is a case pictured with it that will not be included in that price. The case is actually a really nice tweed case that I will throw in for another $75. It did not originally come with that case. Feel free to email me at andrewjaythorne@gmail.com
jujisque Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Here are some more detailed pictures. I also made some sound files with the guitar, but I don't know where I can host them. Does anyone have some suggestions of sites that host small audio files for free?
ZR Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Those are nice guitars. I know someone who has one and it rocks. I'd probably change PU's because I'm just like that, but the build quality was good.
