Adding an LED to a pedal without drilling a hole...

Have an old MXR Flanger that i want to add an LED to. Are there any slick ways of doing this without adding a hole? I would like to keep the pedal returnable to original in case i ever want to sell it.

The only thing i can think of is to replace the output jack with a TRS and use the ring to send the LED voltage to something external or make an external switch box and have it controlled there.

Would be really cool if there was a quality footswitch with an LED built into it... :)

Idears?

Is it one of the original AC-powered units? You could pick up a new enclosure for around ten bucks, drill it and build the old guts with the added LED into the new box. I think those were build in Hammond 1590BBS die cast aluminum boxes.
