Awright HFC-ers in the know,

Anyone ever put a boomered Chap neck on Diablo body? Assuming the neck pocket would accept the heel, is there anything that might prevent such an merging?

Really wanting to make a Chap/ablo... er, Diab/arral. I have the resources to create my unholy shred monster but will the physics/specs support it?

I'm pretty sure the extended board covers part of the neck pickup cavity.

The bodies themselves are identical - the Diablo has a larger-radius corner finish (and different woods, usually), but otherwise they're the same - so the neck will physically bolt on and intonate properly.

EDIT - I saw "Chap" and read "Cali". In that case....never mind.

I think it would work if you got the correct scale length neck. Isn't the Diablo 25.5"? Try it and let us know. You need to get out of bed anyway. Do it while you watch football today.

Sadly, the Chap with a bolt on boomered neck I was gonna use, went on EvilBay at a ridiculous sweet price... while I was sleeping. So pissed! Would've been perfect for this manner experiment (said in best mad scientist impersonation)
