Duotone BCR mod?

It's probably very simple, but I haven't a clue when it comes to tiny electrons. Anyone know how I could eliminate the piezo-magnetic pickup selector (the mini switch) and just balance the outputs with the volume knobs? Is it as simple as just bypassing the switch and wiring the outputs together (I think there're 4 wires hooked up to a 3 way, on-on-on switch). Kinda remember folks calling it the Greg mod or BCR mod, but I haven't heard back from the Hamermeister. Please help me connect the dots:

I support my local repair guys, but only for stuff I can't do like delicate fret work. I'd rather learn how to do things like wiring so I can help myself (and others), never mind that it's also rewarding. It's the best part of participating in forums.

OK, sounds reasonable to me! I'd be much more of a hypocrite than I already am if I didn't say I understand (and do) that sort of thing myself. Good luck with your project.

It's all good, thanks for your support. Here's how I think the Greg Mod works:

Just bypass the piezo-magnetic switch altogether, and wire the pups straight into the output jacks. Two outs, two jacks, no conflicts! Please let me know if this isn't right.

It's rather embarrassing that I have to resort to crayons to understand what's going on, but hey, this is cool -- I can add coil taps without adding new holes or switches to the DUOTRON mod.

I did away with the shared TRS jack and made it simply piezo out.

I always run the magnetics so I used a Steve Stevens two switch way to turn the piezo on/off.

Just another idea.
