Rivera Knucklehead Reverb amp!!

2002 Rivera Knucklehead Reverb amp with headmaster footswitch in excellent condition!! 3 channels of tube goodness and channel 1 has got to be the absolute best "Clean" channel I've ever heard on a high gain head, Channel 2 would be your hotrodded marshall thing and #3 is kind of a Soldano meets Boogie thing but warmer with more teeth. Thats how I would describe the 3 channels...2&3 share the same eq but they are voiced differently and I did'nt notice much compromise when switching between them. This is Rivera's flagship amp and it's a killer..I'm thinkin $1300.00 shipped....Thats a screamin deal on this amp!!! ;)

Thanks Galejt....Mine is the 100 watt version..forgot to mention that.. Those are good clips but only a hint of what this amp can do..the cleans can be totally pristine and the distortion will do the scooped mid metal thing very well.. ;)

I've been looking at these amps recently. Those clips are pretty killer sounding. You looking at any trades Kurt? The only thing I have to offer is a Hamer Studio plus cash. Let me know.

This amp is sold...I used it for trading stock for a Diezel VH4......Does the Diezel kick ass you might ask?? HELL YEAH!!!!!! ;)

jeez Kurt, you Do have a problem. I can buy a good used car or motor cycle for the price of a Deizal!!!

yes Scott...I am a sick man but...I think I'm done looking for "The Amp"....well....this week anyways...hehe.. I have to recoup some cash so..be on the lookout for some really stupid prices on a couple of amps..Randall RM100M and a Rocktron Vendetta as well as a Marshall model 1986 50 watt bass head. ;)

So I guess the Krank you raved on and on about isn't all that eh?...How much for that 50 watt Marshall Bass head? 2 6550's or 2 EL-34's?

HeHe..yeah...I was all giddy about the Krank for all of 2-3 hours..The more I listened and played it..the more generic it started sounding to me so..from now on..I'm gonna wait a week or so before giving a review of anything..lol! It's a 1981 model 1986 50 watt bass head sporting 6550's that I paid $575.00 plus shipping which brought it to $615.00..I don't even have the amp yet and had planned on using it as a power amp for my JMP-1 and gaining some better and more low end capability than running it through a regular guitar head..oh yeah...it's a vertical input job...the good stuff...hehe make me an offer??

;)

I'm getting a new amp too, well used but new to me. A Boogie MKIV, I may be fickle but at least I stick with Boogies.

I thought the Krank was "THE" amp....your a fickle dude my friend ;)

hehe.....yeah..i'm fickle as hell!...but so far....everything about the Diezel is killin but Dayuum!!...spendy!!

The more I try different amps...the more I keep turning back to Marshall....and to think I went years trying to find something like my old JCM800 from '84 only more...only to find out that I was always looking for a Marshall tone.... ;)

I hear ya oh great and wise brown one. I'm probably going to just stick with my Marshall heads and rack rig..I've always loved the tone I've acheived using it and have recieved many compliments..I guess I've really just been chasing my tail looking for something better but it's not to be...I've used the same rig for about 10-15 years so..if it ain't broke...don't fix it...hehe. So! What the hell am I gonna do with a $4000.00 amp?? If I decide to sell it...it's gonna be tough to find someone with deep enough pockets to take it off my hands but...I'm gonna hang onto it for awhile.. ;)

Well the Diezels are the Porsche of high gain amps. I personally think they are way overpriced...sort of like a LP 59 RI. ;) They sound great but so do my Marshalls..and my Buddas for that matter. Im sure you will find someone who wants what is considered the best.

Well....it is the "best" amp I've ever owned..When I first plugged in,twisted a couple knobs and was wearin the biggest shit eatin grin I've had in awhile..The Framus Cobra I had is considered one of the "best" amps out there but..I hated that one..was kind of lifeless and one dimensional. The Diezel breathes and moves with you and has a wonderful clean channel and goes from AC/DC crunch to Slipknot thud and all points in between. Channel 3 is just too much damn fun!!! Channel 4 has the most usable gain I've ever heard on an amp and it just sings!!...yeah...I'm keeping it and just going to unload some of my other stuff to justify and offset the cost of this beast!! lol! ;)

The "best", huh?! I remember you saying that exact same thing about the Krank! Then you actually heard the amp!! Scott and I just played with Nevermore the other night and they use Kranks. I don't understand it. Their tone was nowhere near as good as on their records where they used Peavey XXX's and Boogies. As for the Diezel, $4200 is fucking ridiculous for an amp completely made of PC boards. I don't understand it personally. Hope you did a smart trade on that amp or I hope you love it and keep it forever.

By the way, I want that 1986 you have, what's the deal on that?

Damn straight Brownsound!! My Marshalls always deliver and just have "that" sound that I always hear in my head.

that was premature ejaculation as far as the Krank goes and at the time I felt it was the "best" amp I've played through in quite sometime but using the term "best" is wrong on every level...there's always something better out there...ya just have'nt found it yet. The Diezel is the "best sounding and feeling" amp I've played to date...is it the best?? Probably not but in my experience and all the amps I've gone through and as far as fun factor by just plugging staright in..so far this gets top billing...hmm?? what amp shall I try next?? I'm thinking Engl...hehehe ;)
