Friedman Dirty Shirley - anyone try or heard one

I've been listening to clips of the Friedman Dirty Shirley.

Sounds like the kinda amp I've been looking for.

Simple to use, sounds great in crunch settings, cleans up well with guitar volume,

takes pedals well, very simple effects loop, no channel switching.

Just sounds like a great old Marshall with more gain on tap if needed.

The only cons to me are the price, it's more than I've paid for any amp ever.

So have you heard on in person?

Never tried one, but they gotta be good - the guy I just scored my Marshall JMP 50 from replaced the Marshall with one. He said it's so easy to dial in good tones, that it's not even funny. Seems to be a lot of Friedman DS fans around among those who've tried them.

Dave is a great guy too. He's built two killer pedalboards for me and he was right on time on both. The best thing was he called me to tell me that I needed to swap a couple of pedals in the chain for optimum sound and minimal noise. And he was right!

Also, check out the Small Box 50. It's killer with really great touch-sensitivity. I've not tried one, but the clips sound killer.

I'd also be interested if anyone has played a DS. Most of the clips seem very bright. I've played the BE-100 and it's the best hot rodded Marshall I've ever played great amp, but with a price to match.
