Covers for p-90's and replacement knobs

therefore

Question

Posted

Hello experts - so I know a good source for pickguards and redid my Cruise Bass to look more Darth Vaderish.

Now I need a similar treatment with this Artist I bought today on Ebay except pickup covers and volume/tone knobs. I know this seems super simple but I trust some of you know more than I on this and the best sources.

1 - Best source for black pickup covers for these p-90's? Also which Duncan p-90's are these?

2 - Are these volume knobs gibson / standard size? Never replaced any before. Source? Looking for black ones of course.

Thanks in advance.

Thierry may be not the original pu. First check by removing them. You may want ti replace them . Could be à good option. You had à good deal in this jazzburst one.

I've replaced a lot of P-90 covers and haven't found any differences between those I've bought on ebay, Musiciansfriend, Guitar Center, AllParts, or anywhere else. If there's a GC near you,it's as good a source as any other.

The one exception is covers for Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90s. They have notches cut our of the lower rims to accomodate the unique baseplates.

The stock pickups are likely Duncan high output models. Unless you like raw, mid-heavy tones exclusively, you'll probably want to replace them. Lollar, Fralin, Wolfetone, Bare Knuckles and others make exceptional P-90s that would really bring out the best in that guitar.

Then again, you may like the sound of the Duncans.
