For Sale is a near mint condition Zion Fifty. If you are not familiar with Zion Guitars, they are a small guitar maker in NC. Their guitars garner very high praise. You can read reviews at:

Harmony Central Review

or check out the website at Zion Website

This one is a nice sunburst with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Duncan pickups. Plays very nice. I describe as near mint because there is a ding on the side of the lower horn. It shows up in the attached pictures.

I do not know how zions compare to the Hamer T-51's (i haven't played one), but it is much nicer than any stock fenders I've played, and I think would compare favorably to a fender custom shop.

Price is $850 shipped. Paypal is OK. No trades on this one, funds will go to another guitar purchase.

A little more information.

I'm not sure of the year, but believe it to be a 2002. It is certainly a recent model. I can find out if that is important to someone. It has sperzel locking tuners and the headstock has a slight tilt removing the need for string trees.

Zions are known for their attention to detail, especially on the neck. I now own 2 and have owned two others throughout the years. This one is being sold so that I can purchase another Zion fifty with a different finish and a maple fingerboard (which I prefer on a tele). The new one will match my Zion radicaster.

It will not be on the board very long. It will likely go on ebay by Monday or Tuesday. Whoever purchases this one will not be disappointed.

Email or PM me with any questions.

Bump for lower opening bid.

I've lowered the opening bid on the auction to $700. That's a rock bottom price for a guitar of this quality.

Great looking guitar. Zions are supposed to be killer guitars.

I recently met the son of the Zion founder at a King's X show in Raleigh. I was talking to this guy and he mentioned something about his dad making a guitar for Ty Tabor. I remeber the Ty Tabor signature model from the mid-'90s. Apparently his dad has MS and can no longer make the guitars, but is still involved on the customer service end. The kid was super nice.

And all that has nothing to do with your guitar, so I'll just shut up now.

Jack,

No need to shut up, I'm just glad to know someone is looking. I felt like I was talking to myself.

I'm sorry to hear that the founder (Ken Hoover, I believe), has MS. I know the company is still making some great guitars and this one is no exception. The Zion that I have my eye has some features that I just prefer, thus the sale.

Thanks.

Greg
