Caving in - looking for a cable TV provider

I am happy with my antenna, Netflix and Amazon, but my son wants ESPN, etc. so I am looking for basic plus a sports pkg, I think.

I am an ATT customer but U-verse TV is not available in my neighborhod, as much as I have complained.

Is satelite that bad? I don't want peole screwinh holes in my roof?

Any tips on getting a deal?

Satellite isn't that bad. These days rain-fade is an almost nonexistant problem. And they should be able to mount the dish on a pole in your yard instead of on the roof.

Time Warner was recently bought by Comcast. I don't think I've ever seen a merger where the prices didn't go up, so I'd expect to pay more from them than what they're asking now.
