Storing Unmounted Neck and PUPs

Question

This is two separate questions.....

1) I have a few spare Unmounted, bolt-on necks. I've been storing them with the truss rods backed off enough to have them basically flat, while sighting down the necks. Is this correct?

2) When storing spare pickups, I have read various opinions. Is the a "best way" to store them?

Is there a minimum amount of space to keep between them in a drawer? Is there a better way to orientate them to each other? If some are known to be hotter/have stronger magnets, will they effect the magnets of the weaker ones?

Dan Erlewine suggested putting tape over the screw holes on removed necks during a repair job. The reason was to prevent humidity changes through those screw holes.

If the pickup manufacturers do not instruct distributors or stores to display pickups in a certain way, you ought to be safe doing the same thing. You never buy pickup sets with them all stuck together, so avoid doing that.
